More Symptoms of Coronavirus Added by CDC Which Takes the Total to 12

Medical Experts started the research on this new virus ever since its first outbreak in China to find its prevention and treatment. Initially, the general perception was that coronavirus is a respiratory illness. But when scientists studied it in detail, they found that it affects almost all vital body parts. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added 3 new coronavirus symptoms to the list of coronavirus symptoms.

The new coronavirus symptoms added were Diarrhea, Congestion, or runny nose and, nausea. The list already included symptoms which are chills or fever, difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath, body or muscle aches, loss of smell or taste, cough, fatigue, headaches, and sore throat.

All of these symptoms range from mild to severe. When coronavirus infects someone the symptoms will appear in between two to fourteen days.

There was a time when there were only three known symptoms. Those include fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath, or difficulty in breathing, indeed those were simpler times. However, with each passing month, the infection is growing or becoming more complicated.

The list clearly shows that it is impossible to identify someone who is covid19 infected without testing.

Another problem with these symptoms is each of these symptoms isn’t only connected with coronavirus but they can also occur with several other diseases and conditions.

That is also the case with the new coronavirus symptoms. Any allergy, medication, common cold, infections, smoking tobacco, or eating a spicy meal can cause runny nose or congestion.

Similarly, diarrhea or nausea can be caused by plenty of other reasons. Therefore, the Center for Disease control’s (CDC’s) list is for guide purposes only, and none can treat it as a replacement for testing. That’s why doctors and health officials have been telling the government to conduct widespread testing. If coronavirus infects a person, testing is the only way to check.

Similarly, if you don’t have any of the symptoms it doesn’t mean that you are not infected by the coronavirus. People may develop a symptom that is not on the list provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). As medical experts learn more and more of the disease more symptoms will be added on the list.

However, it is also possible that someone infected has no symptoms at all. Or someone infected could show only mild to very little symptoms. Such people can transmit the disease to other people.

People aged 60 or above or people who are suffering from medical conditions like lung or heart disease or diabetes are at very high risk for developing more severe symptoms and may even die according to the Center for disease control (CDC).

Emergency signs of covid19 which prompts any person to be in immediate medical care include bluish face or lips, continuous pain or pressure in the chest, trouble breathing, unable to wake or stay awake and new confusion.

So at present, nobody can think that he/she isn’t affected by covid19. People are developing new coronavirus symptoms day by day. Therefore, testing is the only way to check if coronavirus has infected you or not.
